Setting up Element Mail lets you connect an email address to your secure Element messenger account to get notifications and protect your profile. Element is a popular, end-to-end encrypted app built for private chats and team work. Connecting your mail ensures you never miss a text and can easily reset your login.
Here is exactly how to set up your email on the official Element platform. Step 1: Open Your Settings You must first find the main tools menu inside the app. Open the Element app on your desktop computer or phone. Click on your profile icon in the top left corner. Select All Settings from the drop-down menu. Step 2: Add Your Email Address
Once you are in the settings tab, you can link your email ID.
Find the Email addresses section under General account details. Type your complete email address into the blank box. Click the Add button next to it. Step 3: Verify Your Inbox Element needs to know that you own the email address.
Open your personal email inbox in a separate web browser tab. Look for a new email sent by the Element team. Click the verification link inside that email.
Note: Keep your original Element app screen open while you do this. Step 4: Confirm Your Password Now you must finalize the link inside the messenger. Go back to your Element app screen and click Continue. Type in your Element account password to prove it is you. Click Continue one last time to save the changes. Step 5: Turn On Mail Notifications
Now that your mail is connected, make sure it alerts you about missed chats.
Look at the left sidebar menu in settings and click Notifications. Scroll down until you see the Email notifications option. Toggle the switch to Enable email notifications.
If you followed these steps correctly, your email address will now be visible in your profile hub. You will get fast alerts whenever a team member invites you to a new room or sends an urgent message while you are offline.
