The CaTRoX Header refers to the Group Header feature utilized within the popular CaTRoX theme (and its modern CaTRoX QWR Edition fork) for the foobar2000 audio player.

In this layout, group headers act as visual anchors to dynamically organize and categorize music tracks in a playlist without altering their actual playing order. Key Features of the CaTRoX Header

Dynamic Track Grouping: Tracks are grouped under a single header based on a custom evaluation query. By default, the theme uses %album artist% %album% %discnumber% to cleanly consolidate full albums.

Collapsible Playlists: The playlist panel allows you to collapse or expand sections by interacting with the headers. By holding Ctrl + Shift + Left-Click, you can quickly toggle the view.

Auto-Expand Functionality: You can configure the panel via the right-click menu to automatically collapse all headers except for the one containing the currently playing track.

Appearance Customization: The header can be heavily modified, hidden, or completely disabled by navigating to Right-Click Menu > Appearance > Header. You can also alter the title query, subtitle query, and choose whether to display dates or CD disc numbers. Managing and Adjusting Headers

If you are running CaTRoX or its spin-offs like NekoRoX on your desktop player, you can manage grouping behaviors through preset configurations: Right-click anywhere within the Playlist Panel. Hover over Grouping.

Select Manage Presets to add, remove, or modify your header sorting queries.

If you are trying to customize your layout or having trouble setting up a specific grouping query, let me know what metadata tags you use to sort your music library (e.g., genre, year, composer) so I can help you write a tailored formatting script.
